About
In 1995 Chet, along with his wife Andrea and their four-month-old son, moved to Liberia in the midst of the country's civil war. For several years, he and Andrea worked diligently to bring peace to the hearts of men in the midst of turmoil and strife. Threatened with war, ambush, disease and hunger, Chet and his family were able to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and see the fruit of planting seventeen churches.
The Lowes co-labored with these churches to minister to the children who were fighting in the civil war. Chet, working in conjunction with the local church, opened seven rehabilitation homes known as Joseph’s Brethren. These homes ministered to over 1,500 child soldiers (ages 5 – 18) by taking them out of combat, showing them the love of Christ through a well-structured, six-week ministry and placing them in foster homes until their biological families could be found.
Upon his return to the United States in 2000, Pastor Lowe joined the staff of his home church of 15 years, Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale. He had the privilege to serve the Lord as both the Adult Family and Outreach pastor and oversee the several ministries of the church—Couples, Biblical Counseling, Singles, Parenting, Foster Care and Global Missions. During this time, he completed his Masters Degree in Christian Counseling. Chet served at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale for 27 years.
While serving in these capacities, in 2005, he pioneered a young adult discipleship ministry, which is still in operation and known as Patmos: Reality Discipleship. It has operated since then in several different locations such as Bahamas, Brazil, Florida, El Salvador and California. It was this ministry that God used to lead Chet to Southern California in 2015. In God’s sovereignty, that journey eventually led him to his current position as Lead Pastor of Coast Hill Church.
Chet and Andrea are blessed with nine children: five through natural birth and four through adoption. He realizes his family to be his greatest ministry as to “whom much is given, much is required.” He is passionate about teaching the word of God and people—seeking and saving the lost and making disciples of all nations.
