THE CLOSET

SERVING FOSTER, ADOPTIVE, KINSHIP & STRONG FAMILIES

We’re so glad you found us! The Closet includes shops in Lake Forest, Orange County and Gardena, Los Angeles. The Closet provides essential goods at no cost to families caring for children through foster care, adoption, kinship and guardianship.  Items include clothing, baby gear, strollers, shoes, books, and toys, to name a few. Our hope is that by taking these items off your budget, you’re able to invest in other areas of life, whether it’s paying for tutoring or taking your family on a fun outing, because we know the challenges you face.  We hope to make you feel cared for and “seen” in this season of your family's life.

THE CLOSET IN LAKE FOREST IS NOW OPEN FOR THE PUBLIC TO SHOP, AS WELL! All proceeds go to support the work of Heart & Home.  When you buy our secondhand clothing, you not only enable us to continue supporting local foster and adopted children, but you also save money, reduce carbon emissions and waste, and promote sustainable fashion.  Come and visit us soon!

DESIRED ITEMS

Clothing for infants to young adults (youthful in style), shoes, books, toys, baby gear (strollers, carseats, etc.) and more.

Our hope and desire for the families we serve is that these items would be in great condition and still have lots of life. We wish to hand the very best to the children we serve, as a gift to them and their caregivers.  As a sweet reminder, perhaps pause and ask, "Would I put my child in this?"

Unfortunately at this time we are unable to accept large furniture items and/or household items.
