About

Karen Gauff is a woman of faith; a wife to her husband, Will; mother to two adult sons: Shawn and Brandon, a grateful mother-in-love to Ashley, and proud GG to her beloved granddaughter, Amira. She also carries a mantle as a minister of the gospel and of the law, a proud veteran of the US Air Force, master mentor, book author, inspirational innovator, and intercessor.

As an emancipated foster youth and graduate of high school in South Central Los Angeles, Karen is grateful to have found favor in the justice system where she now presides as a judge.  In that role, she is entrusted with protecting Compton’s citizenry through her Traffic Trials and Treatment Courts. In the Treatment Courts she leads teams of professionals in her felony criminal courtroom with focus on restorative justice models for participants who present with trauma from mental illness, chronic homelessness, substance use disorders, Transitional-Aged Youth (TAY), sexual exploitation and Veterans. Miraculously, these are all areas Judge Gauff traversed as a youth.

Judge Gauff is the Chair of the Temporary Judge Program for Los Angeles County, and she serves on the Board of Directors for the California Judge’s Association representing Los Angeles County.  Beyond her judicial duties, ministering and mentoring are Karen’ passion.  She is also actively involved in community help efforts including serving on the Board of Directors for St. Joseph’s Center.

In her first book, Courting with Chance (Reconciling Memoirs), Karen started the conversation about how she overcame childhood traumas.  Then she launched her next ministry assignment entitled Abba’s Love Notes (Abba means Father). Through Abba’s Love Notes, she and Will delivers the revelation of Biblical promises to celebrate, inspire and encourage receivers all over the world through written card sets and daily audio text devotionals. They have shared the loving voice of Abba Father to over 100,000 listeners.

Dinner will be served to adults.

Pizza and childcare will be provided for children ages 0-12.

Pizza and a Young Life ‘Hangout’ will be provided for teens.
