About
The Closet: 1:30-2:30pm
The Closet provides essential goods to families caring for children through foster, adoptive, kinship and Strong Families placements. Items include clothing, baby gear, strollers, shoes, books, and toys, to name a few.
Support Group: 2:30-4:30pm
Lynnie was born in 1960 and placed in the first Christian adoption agency in the United States. Growing up in the high dessert, she attended Point Loma Nazarene College prior to attending Azusa Pacific University, where she completed her under-grad degree in Social Work and subsequent Masters curriculum in People Personel Services, and completed her Masters degree in Education at Cal Poly Pomona. Lynnie was the principal of a pre-school in the Azusa Unified School District and created a curriculum that received recognition from the State of California. She taught special education (RSP and SDC) for the majority of her career in education. Lynnie has been married for 38 years to Jim and has three children, Megan, Bri and Mitch and four grandchildren. She is now retired and lives in Laguna Beach.
Light snacks and refreshments will be served.
Childcare will be provided during Support Group.
This is a FREE event for families providing care for children through foster care, adoption, guardianship, and kinship placements.
This meeting will be held in Fellowship Hall.
